Andrew Gill
Chief Executive Officer
Andrew has always had a passion for engineering and problem solving. He spent the first 15 years of his career in industry after completing his master's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Utah. During his time in industry, he honed his mechanical design and finite element analysis skills, eventually managing a team of 60 mechanical engineers tasked with designing construction and forestry equipment for John Deere. He has a proven track record of leading and growing engineering teams. Possessing a strong foundation in structural analysis and a deep understanding of complex engineering systems, he takes pride in seeing many of the machines he supported out in the field and operating.
During his time in industry, Andrew recognized a need to improve the future generation of engineers by teaching them the fundamentals he based his career on. He returned full circle back to the University of Utah to manage and teach the Capstone course. By disseminating the knowledge he has gained throughout his career, he hopes it may be utilized by current and future engineers to improve the products they create.
